Across Oxford and Oxfordshire people will be gathering together in homes and halls to celebrate the love of Jesus Christ, to get to know neighbours and to pray for the area in which we live.

Many people will he hosting breakfasts in their areas. If you would like to join in, please visit the registration page.

We recommend that you start planning right away. Here are our suggestions:

1 Display the poster on the right in your window. This will alert others in your area. We have over 150 A3 posters and 7,500 A5 flyers available. These can be collected at St Andrews Christian Boolshop, 57c St. Clements Street Oxford, OX4 1AG or 123, Edgeway Road, Marston, Oxford OX3 0HF. In our area visiting homes and delivering personally 100 flyers brought about 20 people along, and just delivering 100 flyers bought about 2 people. While "sowing seeds" by just delivering the flyers is very productive in the long run, we have new Christians on our street who wouldn't be part of us if we hadn't done personal delivery.

2 If possible start praying together weekly with someone who lives locally. For us, weekly prayer on our street is the engine that is powering the initiative there. The first step to finding someone to pray with is to register.

3 Praise forms an important part of the gathering, so it would be ideal if you could find a musician who could help.

4 Printing the flyers: We have an easily editable word version of the flyer which you are welcome to use. Once your prayer breakfast is registered we will send this to you.

5 So that our administrators can coordinate the initiative, please could you write to us to let us know what you’ve decided to do.

6 We will provide an optional programme for the day which will also include several well known hymns and choruses for you to choose from.
